It’s the most colorful time of the year… Pride Month! For over 40 years, Des Moines has proudly hosted Pride Fest and other events designed to inspire, educate, celebrate, and welcome a diverse community while cultivating a culture free of intolerance. This year’s Pride Fest will be taking place  June 10th – 12th in the city’s Historic East Village. 

One of our highly desierable downtown communities, The Banks, is located within walking distance to the East Village which hosts a variety of activities during Pride week. Located between the Iowa State Capitol and the Des Moines River, the East Village is a vibrant, eclectic neighborhood with dozens of locally-owned shops, restaurants, and bars. Pride Fest events will be taking place throughout the neighborhood, including the parade, the fun run, and the pool party. Check out the schedule of fun and family-friendly events!
