Meet Jim!

Today, we would like to introduce you to one of our Sales Professionals, Jim. He is here to walk you through the home buying process, show you all the available options along the way, and get you to the closing table as smoothly as possible. Meet Jim!

TELL US A BIT ABOUT YOURSELF AND YOUR ROLE AT HUBBELL.

I am originally from Iowa so I guess I would be “homegrown.” I lived in Nebraska and northwest Iowa before moving to the DSM metro area 25 years ago. I was a Realtor with Iowa Realty before joining the sales team at Hubbell Homes, and I have worked at Hubbell Homes for a bit over a year. As a sales professional, I help find homes for people in our communities of Mill Ridge and Della Vita in West Des Moines, as well as Glynn Village in Waukee. These three developments are full of great homes for great people. There are really good schools, privacy, and lots of diversity in this area. Our developments offer townhomes, ranch, 2 story, 1 ½ story, and single-family homes. Something for everyone.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF YOUR JOB?

I really like to show our homes at various stages of construction. It is really great to work with prospective new buyers and see the excitement they have when I get to talk about how creative, well-constructed, and quality our homes are. I really enjoy the enthusiasm that our buyers have on closing day. 

WHEN YOU AREN’T BUSY SELLING HOMES, HOW DO YOU SPEND YOUR FREE TIME? 

 I like to read, travel, paint and draw, flyfish and camp. My family and grandkids are also always on the move and we like to spend time with them. I also like watching the Hubbell Cribs show! Would love to meet those wacky girls sometime.

ANY FUN FACTS WE SHOULD KNOW?

One of the most interesting places I have traveled to is Thailand. Really wonderful people and beautiful settings to visit. I have a private pilot’s license and have an interest in aviation in general. My biggest accomplishment outside of work might be that I enjoy creating artwork and visiting galleries when possible.

WHAT IS YOUR GO-TO KARAOKE SONG?

Sorry, I don’t do Karaoke…😊 No amount of libation would be sufficient to get me to do that.

Jim! My real name is James.
